Overwatch Beta Players Average 1.1 Billion Hours in Weekend Stress Test

That comes to 129 years of gameplay over three days according to Blizzard.

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch recently saw a network stress test this past weekend and thus sent out a number of invites for the game’s closed beta. The response was incredibly strong – according to game director Jeff Kaplan on the Battle.net forums, players managed to rack up 129 years of gameplay. That’s right – years.

That comes to 1,130,040 hours of gameplay though the number of testers and the average time per player that took part hasn’t been revealed.

Those who have received access to the stress test will find themselves unable to take part again; however, you can still try to book spot for yourself in the on-going beta.

The current beta is available only on PC but Overwatch is also coming to Xbox One and PS4 in Q1/Q2 2016. What are your thoughts on the multiplayer shooter thus far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
