Pachter Says The Elder Scrolls 6 Is In Development But Unsure When It’s Coming Out

Come on Bethesda, just give it to us already!

One thing that people are probably getting are tired of hearing is the fact that The Elder Scrolls 6 isn’t going to launch anytime soon. Bethesda themselves have said as much on a number of occasions, saying that there’s other projects they want to concentrate on first, but somehow fans have continued hoping that the release is closer than they’re letting on. Industry analyst Michael Pachter also seems to fall in that category.

We recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Pachter, and when we asked him why he thought The Elder Scrolls VI hasn’t yet been announced, he said that the game will probably be announced and launched in 2018- though he did went on to concede that there’s every chance he’s wrong. However, he also said in no unclear terms that the game is definitely under development at Bethesda Game Studios.

“I personally think they are working on it,” Pachter told GamingBolt. “You know, Pete Hines took me on this last year when I said they might be working on it, he said it’s not coming this year. So I think it’s coming next year- maybe they announce it at E3. But, if I’m wrong, then I’ll say this next year, and then the year after that. But it’s in development.”

It seems unlikely that The Elder Scrolls 6 will be out as early as 2018, though it is indeed safe to assume that Bethesda are working on it. Whether it’ll be out as early as Pachter seems to suggest is much less certain, though to be fair, he himself seems to agree with that assertion.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued coverage on anything and everything to do with The Elder Scrolls.
