Path of Exile: Delirium Launch Leads to New Concurrent Player Peak

Server issues, along with a DDoS attack, have also been mostly resolved.

Grinding Gear Games’ newest Challenge League for Path of Exile went live this past weekend with Delirium. The launch was a huge success, resulting in a new concurrent player peak of 132,508 players. It’s especially impressive considering the number of server issues that occurred from demand along with DDoS attacks.

In a new update on Steam, the developer has revealed that servers are now running “relatively smoothly.” It’s also been looking feedback from players during the League and plans to publish a development manifesto outlining the main concerns. So if you’re having issues with the Delirium ending too early or visual clarity, it will probably be addressed in the manifesto.

Path of Exile’s Delirium League introduces new Unique items, skills like Spellslinger and Kinetic Bolt, and a new Cluster Jewel system that adds about 280 new Passive Points and Notables. Players essentially battle through the game while encountering Mirrors of Delirium which envelop the area in fog and spawn tougher monsters. Delirium is currently live on PC – it will release later this week for Xbox One and PS4.
