In the last few years, Konami have drawn a lot of ire for the PC versions of PES 2017– specifically, because they have been based off of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game with some next generation enhancements added on top, rather than being on par with the PS4 and Xbox One versions- there’s no excuse for Konami doing something like that, after all.
Unfortunately, if you were hoping for that to change this year, well, don’t. Speaking on Twitter (via Gaming Respawn), Konami’s Adam Bhatti confirmed that the PC version of the game would not be on par with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, also confirming that it would at the very least be enhanced over the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions by having superior framerate and resolution.
That said, Bhatti did note that he was planning on working on the PC version of PES next year, maybe hinting that things might be different next time around. Let’s hope so- because right now, PC players looking for a good football game are stuck with FIFA, because Konami can’t get their act together.
