PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Developer Reveals Plans For The Game For 2018

The team's main goals are to polish the game up and to improve the competitive component of the game.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues going strong even past the end of 2017. With over 3 million concurrent players, there will be many who are curious what PUBG Corp’s plans for the game are for the future. However, PUBG Corp has revealed that they do not have any definite plans for the game past 1.0, so we may not see a 2.0 release by the end of this year.

While the team has been focusing on getting out of Early Access, “1.o as a number is just an iconic milestone” stated PUBG Corp’s CEO Han Kim in an interview with Gamesindustry.biz. Currently, the team’s primary goal is to polish the experience of the game and this will certainly take lot of effort as the game is still facing many serious issues such as cheating. The team’s second goal is to improve the competitive aspect of the game and these are the two main goals that the team will focus on throughout the year.

With a game as big as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, conventional and clearly defined plans cannot be followed by the team, according to Han Kim. We’ll just have to wait and see then what changes will be made to the game through the course of this year.
