The Pokemon Company’s Pokemon Legends: Arceus has received new trailer for Hisuian Zoroark and Hisuian Zorua, the new variants for the Gen 5 Pokemon. Teased in an earlier cinematic trailer, we now get to see both Pokemon in-game. Check them out below.
Both Pokemon seem to have a kitsune-esque feel befitting of folklore, fitting their Normal/Ghost Types (as opposed to the originals being Dark Types). The Hisuian Zorua are essentially lingering souls of the Zorua driven from their lands by hostile humans and can manifest illusions. The Hisuian Zoroark’s illusions are far more damaging, to the extent of driving people insane, though it does show compassion to its loved ones.
Some of Hisuian Zorua’s skills are also showcased while Hisuian Zoroark may be one of the rampaging Noble Pokemon that players discover in the wild. Either way, both look very cool and serve as nice departures from their Gen 5 versions.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is out on January 28th 2022 for the Nintendo Switch. Along with a less restrictive 3D world to explore (that’s not open world but composed of various large areas connected together), it also offers real-time combat. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.
