Remember that recent mysterious teaser for Pokemon Legends: Arceus? It’s finally been “restored” and showcases some interesting Pokemon, namely Hisuian Zoroark and Hisuian Zorua. These are variants of Gen 5 Pokemon though the former seems to be protective of the latter – check it out below.
The Hisui region is the main world that players will explore in the upcoming RPG. Jubilife Village offers a number of different activities, from character customization to photo-ops with Pokemon, but it’s also where players will receive missions to explore the wilderness. Once a survey has been completed, the player returns to Jubilife to plan for the next expedition.
This gameplay loop is akin to Monster Hunter though The Pokemon Company has since confirmed that the game won’t be open world. Nevertheless, the areas of Hisui look fairly large and it should be interesting to see what foes are encountered (like the powerful Noble Pokemon). Pokemon Legends: Arceus is out on January 28th 2022 for the Nintendo Switch so stay tuned for more gameplay in the coming months.
