Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Has Gone Gold

Ubisoft Montpelier's 2.5 side-scroller launches worldwide on January 18th for all platforms. A free demo goes live on January 11th.

Ubisoft Montpelier’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, a 2.5 side-scroller in the long-running series, has finally gone gold. The game’s official Twitter announced the same, with the developer stating it can’t wait for players to “explore mythological Persia as Sargon.”

Unlike previous games starring the titular prince, The Lost Crown is about Sargon, a warrior adopted into The Immortals. On a mission to Mount Qaf to rescue a kidnapped prince, he meets his friend Vahram under mysterious circumstances. While Sargon fights to save him, the Immortals pursue him, claiming he’s a betrayer.

Fortunately, he has time manipulation and can uncover platforms to climb on, place checkpoints to return to and more. Sargon can also utilize dual blades and a bow to juggle enemies, unlock new abilities to augment his combat skills and equip different amulets for game-changing benefits.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown launches on January 18th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. A demo goes live on January 11th. Check out our feature for more details.
