Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Combat and Exploration Showcased in New Gameplay Overview Trailer

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for the upcoming side-scrolling game Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Focusing on showcasing the title’s gameplay, the trailer offers five minutes of explanations for the game’s various systems. Check it out below.

Among other things, the trailer showcases showcases boss encounters, technical fights, and challenging platforming sections. When it comes to traversal and exploration, the trailer showcases simple moves like double jumps, to more complex ones like wall jumps and mid-air dashing.

In true metroidvania fashion, players will have to explore the game’s world as much as possible to get the various abilities they will need to make progress into the game. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown also features time-based powers, ranging from uncovering time-lost surfaces to platform off, to pocketing elements from a pocket dimension to use later.

The trailer also showcases some of the combat options available in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, from aerial juggling, to the bow weapon. The game features character progression in the form of new defensive and offensive abilities that can be unlocked. The game also features a gear system in the form of amulets, that can give the player a host of enhancements, including changing up how weapons work.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is slated for release on January 18, and will be coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is also getting a free demo on January 11.
