A new trailer has been released for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown during the recent Nintendo Direct. The video focuses on showing off some gameplay for the upcoming side-scrolling title. Check out the trailer below.

In a departure from more recent Prince of Persia titles, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown hopes to return the series to its roots with its side-scrolling gameplay. The game will feature quite a bit of platforming, exploration, and power-ups for players to find.

Announced earlier this year, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier—the studio behind the Rayman games. Back in June, the studio had spoken how it would be making use of its experience and expertise in developing side-scrolling platformers to develop Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is slated for release on January 18, and will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. Ubisoft has stated that the game will run at 60 FPS on all platforms. For more details on its gameplay, story and setting, check out the trailer from back in June.
