Competitive team shooter Rainbow Six Siege is enjoying a fairly active player base. Publisher Ubisoft announced in a recent blog post that not only does the game has 2.3 million players logging in each day but that the total number of registered players is over 20 million.
Product director Nicolas Lefebvre stated that, “Our community is growing and so is our ambition to make Siege a shooter that is here to stay. The next few weeks are very exciting as it marks the culmination of Operation Health and the release of our next season set in Hong Kong.”
Ubisoft has worked hard to improve the game, especially with its recent Operation Health initiative which brings improvements to player hitboxes, One Step Matchmaking, map fixes, fixing problems with Spawn Killing and Join in Progress.
Given how Rainbow Six Siege is among Ubisoft’s most successful multiplayer-focused titles and one of the better competitive shooters available, even more support is expected in the coming months. New Operators are en route with two from Hong Kong’s Special Duties unit. You can also look forward to a new Polish Operator, new weapons and a new map.
