Ubisoft has confirmed a PlayStation Vita version of Rayman Legends. Previously the title was rumored/spotted to come out on Sony’s handheld platform by an online retailer, but now we have an official statement from the company itself.
Rayman Legends on PlayStation Vita will include all of the original content from console versions along with five exclusive levels that will be playable with Murphy. Murphy was previously seen in the past Rayman games, it’s a character that resembles itself as a greenbottle fly. Murphy will be controlled by the Vita’s Rear TouchPad functionality.
Online multiplayer will also be included via Wi-Fi for cooperative gameplay. Online competition will take place by completing specific online challenges and leader-board rankings that players can compare to each other.
The Vita version of the game will also pack in two exclusive skins for Rayman and Globox. Rayman will be wearing a skin from the Prince of Persia franchise while Globox will be wearing a Splinter Cell skin.
Rayman Legends will be available on Consoles and PlayStation Vita on the same day on August 29th in Europe and the 30th in United Kingdom.
