Red Dead Redemption 2 Offers First Access to “Select Online Content” for PS4

Details to be revealed "soon".

Sony seems to have struck a deal with Rockstar Games for the PS4 version of Red Dead Redemption 2. According to a recent PlayStation Blog post, PS4 users will be receiving “first access to earn select online content”. Details will apparently be revealed soon so you can begin speculating on the nature of the content.

It’s likely to be something akin to Sony’s deal with Activision for Call of Duty which brings DLC map packs to PS4 one month prior to Xbox One and PC. If Red Dead Redemption 2 receives free online content updates similar to Grand Theft Auto Online, it’s possible that PS4 users receive early access compared to Xbox One users.

What are your thoughts on Red Dead Redemption 2 offering such a deal to PS4 users? Let us know in the comments below and watch the reveal trailer for the game below. It’s fairly pretty even with the Fall 2017 release date seeming a ways off.
