Redfall Developer Targeted Halloween Release for New DLC Characters – Rumor

Arkane Austin was reportedly still working on updates and long overdue Hero Pass content before Microsoft closed the studio.

With Arkane Austin shutting down and the previous update or Redfall being its last, players who own the Hero Pass won’t have anything to look forward to. Servers are also online for now, but the promised offline mode is also not happening. Despite the lack of updates on future content, IGN reports that the developer was working on a roadmap before its closure.

It had DLC and updates in development, including offline mode, which was reportedly part of a May update. The Hero Pass content – which includes two new DLC characters – was also planned for launch this Halloween. There were expectations of the content launching, so the studio’s closure may have come out of nowhere for Arkane Austin. Xbox and Bethesda haven’t officially commented on this.

Regardless, those who purchased the Hero Pass with the Bite Back Edition or the premium upgrade for the same are eligible for credit back. Additional details have yet to be revealed, so stay tuned for further updates in the coming days.
