First announced at E3 2021, Replaced turned quite a few heads upon its reveal, and though updates on the game have been somewhat scant since then, there’s still be plenty of anticipation surrounding it. The game reemerged into the spotlight recently at The Game Awards, where it debuted a new trailer that continues to show the game in an impressive light.
Replaced sees players playing as an AI called R.E.A.C.H. trapped in a human body and is set in Phoenix City, a dystopian hub of civilization where humanity is desperately hanging on for survival in the wake of a nuclear disaster. The new trailer showcases more of the game’s world and its story, while its gorgeous retro 2.5D aesthetic continues to impress as well. Check out the trailer below.
Earlier this year, developer Sad Cat Studios, which is based in Ukraine, announced that Replaced had been delayed into 2023 due to the conflict in the region. The game is in development for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
