There’s lot we’ve been able to learn about Resident Evil 2’s remake so far, and based on the early reactions, it’s clear that a lot of fans are hyped for its release. If you’re one of the massive fans eagerly awaiting the game’s launch, you may be interested to know about the Collector’s Edition of the game which has been announced for consumers in the UK.
Resident Evil 2’s UK Collector’s Edition will be sold for £230, and while it’s definitely a bit pricey, it’s not anywhere nearly as expensive as the Japanese Collector’s Edition- which costs £530, just in case you’re wondering. If you’re curious to know what the UK Collector’s Edition will bring, it includes a 12″ figurine of protagonist Leon S. Kennedy, an art book, a CD of the OST, a Made in Heaven pin, a poster of an Raccoon Police Station blueprint, limited edition keys, and more.
It will also come with the Deluxe DLC Pack card which grants access to the “Original Version” soundtrack swap, which, as the name suggests, swaps the new remixed in-game soundtrack with the one that was included in the original 1998 classic. Arklay Sherrif and Noir costumes for Leon, Military, Noir and Elza Walker costumes for Claire, and finally the the Samurai Edge “Albert Model” weapon are also included. And all of this is going to be packaged in a pretty sweet looking massive box.
So yeah, it’s definitely worth its steep price, at least for veteran fans of the series. You can pre order both, the Xbox One and the PS4 versions of the edition over at GAME (where it seems to be retailing exclusively) through the links. Or, you know, you could just buy the standard edition when the game releases on January 25, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game’s also going to be playable at Capcoom’s booth at Gamescom next week, along with Devil May Cry 5- read more on that here.
