Resident Evil 4 Remake Sells 5.45 Million Units, Street Fighter 6 Crosses 2.47 Million Sold

Games sales are up year-over-year for the publisher, from 21.3 million to 22.6 million, and there's no change to its full-year forecast.

Capcom has published its financial results for the second quarter and first half of fiscal year 2023. It revealed that Resident Evil 4 Remake, launched in March 2023, has sold 1.66 million units in the quarter and 5.45 million in its lifetime. It was last reported to have sold over five million units.

Street Fighter 6 also performed strongly, with over 2.47 million units sold since launching in June 2023. Capcom’s major releases contributed to increased sales and profit, primarily with digital sales. Game sales showed an increase from 21.3 million to 22.6 million units year-over-year.

Performance in the first half of the year is in line with the company’s plans, so there’s no change to the full-year forecast. Capcom will work on expanding sales in its digital content business in the meantime.
