Resident Evil 4 Remake: The Mercenaries Character Renders Datamined, Includes New Addition – Rumor

Leon and Ada each have two outfits, while other characters from the original game, like Albert Wesker and HUNK, also return.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will get its first major post-launch content update on April 7th with The Mercenaries. Capcom hasn’t revealed much about the mode, but dataminers, particularly @biohazardoctor on Twitter, have reportedly discovered renders of the available characters. Spoilers may follow, so if you want to be surprised, turn back now.

There will be two versions of Leon S. Kennedy – regular and Mafia outfit – and Ada Wong – default and a variant wearing a dress. Albert Wesker is also present, along with Jack Krauser and HUNK. Fans will note that this roster is also available in the original game.

However, there seems to be a new addition: Luis Serra. That’s right – Leon’s ally, who easily over-shadowed the hero in the campaign, could finally be playable.

Take this with some grain of salt, at least an official confirmation from Capcom, and stay tuned for more updates. Resident Evil 4 Remake is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and PS4. Along with The Mercenaries, it’s getting free VR mode for PlayStation VR2. Separate Ways, the side campaign focused on Ada Wong, is rumored to be an extensive paid DLC coming this year, with dataminers discovering references in the files. Head here for more details.
