Resident Evil 4 VR Mode is Out Now on PS5

The PS5-exclusive VR Mode update for Resident Evil 4 is out now, bringing with it a whole new way to experience the game.

Resident Evil 4 on the PS5 has gotten a major update, bringing VR Mode to the game. Owners of the PS5 version of the game can now play Resident Evil 4‘s VR Mode through the PlayStation VR2. A demo for the VR Mode is also out now on the PlayStation Store.

Resident Evil 4 VR Mode changes the game’s perspective to first-person, bringing a new level of immersion to the title. Players can now come face-to-face with the game’s Ganados enemies, and understand the true scale of some of the larger enemies in the game.

Resident Evil 4 is the third game in the franchise to be getting a PlayStation-exclusive VR mode, following Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, and more recently, Resident Evil Village. The VR mode in Resident Evil 4 makes use of the PS VR2 headset’s 4K HDR display and 3D audio for immersion.

The VR Mode also makes use of the Sense controllers, allowing players to use different gestures when taking actions like reloading their guns, or using the knife to parry or take down enemies.

The Resident Evil 4 remake came out earlier this year, and is available on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Check out our review here.
