Resident Evil 6 PC Development, DLC Plans Discussed by Capcom

Know now that no one is emerging unscathed from the experience.

Resident Evil 6 is close to release. It’s been creating it’s fair share of buzz for Capcom with it’s action-oriented approach, adopting a faster pace from previous titles in the series (that’s not to mention the return of zombies).

Capcom recently discussed details unrelated to console development however – such as when we’d see the release of the PC version. They responded in kind on their forums, stating “Development will start shortly (source code is being evaluated now). And it should still support XP, Vista, 7 and 8 I would think with DirectX9.”

This being Resident Evil, and this being Capcom after all, it only made sense to inquire about DLC. To this, they responded, “We aren’t yet ready to talk about RE6 DLC plans at this time however RE5 had sizable pieces of DLC a year after release. There’s some sort of precedent there.”

Does this mean more controversy related to what’s already on the disc but locked from gamers’ access? Time will tell.
