Resident Evil 7 is almost here – we are under a week from its release, actually – which means it’s almost time to see the reviews for the game start to trickle out. The very first one of these happens to be one from Famitsu, the Japanese outlet that has awarded the game an almost perfect score of 39/40.
Famitsu reviews usually comprise of four separate reviewers sharing their thoughts and scores for a game- this means that three out of four reviewers saw it fit to give Resident Evil 7 a perfect score, with the final one still giving it a 9. Even though the quality of Famitsu reviews has grown suspect in the last few years, this bodes well for all of us who are looking forward to the game.
Resident Evil 7 is due to launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC; the PS4 version of the game will have exclusive VR compatibility via the PSVR headset, while the Xbox One version of the game will be Play Anywhere enabled.
