Resident Evil 7 officially launched today but just ahead of it landing on the PS4, the game got a small patch, making it version 1.01. The new patch is less than 1 GB in size, 806.2MB to be exact so you shouldn’t have any worries if you haven’t installed the game yet that you were going to have to deal with a massive day one patch.
The patch addresses things such as adding a couple of new trophies for the first DLC called “Banned Footage Vol. 1”, better add-on support and a notification system of new chapters becoming available. The question now is whether or not the game is otherwise this good to go and Capcom really had their ducks in a row for launch.
The patch notes talk about other various bug fixes, but in a day and age when day one patches are always massive, this little fix is a welcome sight. If you haven’t got the game yet, check out our review .
Resident Evil 7 is out now on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
