Resident Evil Ambassador Invites Now Going Out To US Cities

Something evil is definitely coming this way.

Earlier in the week we reported that invites from the digital fan program, the Resident Evil Ambassador Program, were going out to Japanese members to test new game in the franchise in Tokyo. Well, it seems the infection is spreading, as now invites are going out in the United States.

As reported again by Biohaze, now American members are being selected with tests running in Los Angeles, California September 20 or 21 and New York City, New York September 23 or 24. Like the Japanese invites, there’s no specify way to get an invite and it seems random.

Logic would dictate that this is most like the remake of Resident Evil 3 that’s been rumored for while, or potentially Resident Evil 8. It’s worth noting that the public test audience approach is very unusual and not something Capcom has done in the past with the franchise. It could just mean they are trying something new, of course, or it could point to possibly a more experimental side game over a mainline title. It’s all speculation for now. We’ll keep our ears to the ground for rumblings when the time comes.
