Resident Evil Requiem Will Receive A “New Look” At The Game Awards

Ahead of its launch in February 2026, Capcom's flagship horror series is set to take the world by storm on December 11th.

While Capcom prepares a deeper dive into the survival horror for early 2026, Resident Evil Requiem’s next appearance is actually much sooner. The Game Awards confirmed a “new look” on December 11th, and at this point, it may finally reveal Leon S. Kennedy, long-rumored as the game’s second protagonist.

Resident Evil Requiem did receive a bit of new gameplay as part of NHK’s documentary on the franchise. It showcased Grace Ashcroft, roaming through a dark mansion and carefully shooting zombies that resembled the classic undead. With only a few rounds and seemingly retaining her injuries from the start, it doesn’t appear to be much farther ahead in the story.

However, there’s a lot that remains unknown about the title. Capcom even admitted that the new stalker foe chasing Grace is only “small part” of the game and that characters from previous entries will return (without confirming which ones).

Resident Evil Requiem launches on February 27th, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
