Resident Evil Re:Verse Open Beta Has Been Temporarily Suspended Due To Matchmaking Issues

The beta went open earlier in the week.

The big game dropping for Capcom’s survival horror franchise is coming next month in the form of Resident Evil Village. However, it’s not the only RE title dropping on that day, as everyone who purchases Village will also get Re:Verse, multiplayer title that sees you stepping into the shoes of iconic characters from the franchise that can transform into various notable creatures as well. The game had a closed beta earlier in the year, and just started an open beta period. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like it was quite ready as of yet.

Many people reported issues with the beta, particularly in its matchmaking. It seems the issue has gotten so bad, that Capcom announced they were pulling the beta until further notice. They say the suspension of service will be temporary, but as of now, there’s no timeframe for when it will return.

Resident Evil Re:Verse will release alongside Resident Evil Village on May 7th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia (with Village also getting native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions). A showcase is planned to highlight Resident Evil Village and various other franchise news on April 15th.
