Its release is coming up in May but Capcom’s Resident Evil Village still has quite a bit to show us before then. An upcoming PlayStation Japan livestream will showcase more gameplay and there’s also a second demo coming to all platforms. Alex Aniel, Limited Run Games’ Japanese business manager, has noted some new details on the latter from the latest Weekly Famitsu.
While the PS5-exclusive Maiden demo was meant to be more of a visual showcase for the game, the next demo actually features content from the final release. Other showcase events for both Resident Evil Village and the series’ 25th anniversary are also planned. If you’re still on the fence about picking up the former, then there will be plenty of chances to see it in action.
Resident Evil Village releases on May 7th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, Xbox One and PS4. It takes place directly after Resident Evil 7: biohazard and sees Ethan Winters traveling to a remote village dominated by werewolves and vampires. Despite having more action than the previous game, Capcom is still promising lots of “intense and horrifying scenes.”
