Rocket League’s Second Rocket Pass Now Available

Several new items arrive, along with changes to premium upgrade trading and "Special Edition" items.

Psyonix’s Rocket League has made its second Battle Pass-like, er, pass available. The second Rocket Pass is free for all players, but can be receive a premium upgrade for $9.99 (or 10 keys). A new trailer highlights all the items that players can expect, including the new Artemis Battle-Car.

What’s changed from the last pass? You can no longer trade items from Tier 1-70 in the premium upgrade route, but you can trade free items and Pro Tier items. Pro Tier items will always drop as “Painted”, with a 25 percent chance of being “Certified”. The base experience earned from matches has been increased by 40 percent, along with the weekly match maximum from 14 to 21.

If that weren’t enough, the Pro Tier has a new customization item attribute in the “Special Edition”. This allows an item to become an alternate version, with support for Painted attribute colours. Some examples include the Gripstride HX, Rocket Forge 2, and Sprocket, with a 25 percent chance to unlock one if you have the Special Edition version.
