Sabotage Studio’s retro-inspired turn-based RPG Sea of Stars launched in August last year and was met with widespread acclaim from critics and audiences. That acclaim and continued word of mouth has continued to attract an increasing crowd of players to the game in the months that have followed, and its player base has continued to grow.
Recently, in fact, it hit another major milestone, with Sabotage Studio taking to Twitter to announce that Sea of Stars has now been played by over 5 million players to date across all platforms. Back in December, the developer announced that the game’s player base had surpassed 4 million players, so that number has continued to grow at a pretty consistent pace.
Earlier this year, Sabotage confirmed that Sea of Stars DLC had entered full production, and that the vision for the studio’s next project had also been internally pitched- though details on the latter remain scant, understandably enough.
Sea of Stars is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
