Sea of Thieves Receiving 10-20 Hours Worth Of Story-Driven Content Later This Month

Tall Tales' first instalment will bring new story content, cutscenes, and a lot more.

Rare’s support for Sea of Thieves ever since its launch last year has been truly stellar, with the pirate adventure title getting major content updates at fast and steady clip. And there’s a lot more to come, still- The Arena, its PvP mode, will be going live at the end of this month as part of the game’s Anniversary Update. With that same update, though, Sea of Thieves will also be adding copious amounts of story-driven content, called Tall Tales.

Tall Tales is the name Rare have given to the story-driven adventures they’ll be regularly adding to the game. The first one, called “Shores of Gold”, will be going live with the Anniversary Update as well, and it’s very meaty. It will contain 10-20 hours of content, which will feature a new story, new cutscenes, and of course, plenty of new missions.

Across its nine total chapters, players will journey through the Devil’s Shroud, before getting to a new location, which is being touted as the largest island in the game yet. Shores of Gold will introduce new enemy types, puzzles, bosses, and more.
