Sega Details The Survivor Mode And Season Pass In Alien Isolation

In space, no one can- you know what, that line's overplayed.

Sega today announced the Alien: Isolation Survivor Mode, a new game mode for the title which pits players in a one on one confrontation against the universe’s deadliest killer, deep within the bowels of Sevastopol Station. Each map has limited resources; with a hunter on the loose, players need to take advantage of every item they find to help them complete a unique set of objectives which will ultimately lead to their escape. Sega also confirmed that additional content for this mode would be made available over six months as DLC, to be purchased either individually, or in the form of a Season Pass.

“At this year’s E3 and a number of subsequent events, we put the Survivor Mode demo into the hands of the world’s press and consumers and the reception was incredible,” said Al Hope, Creative Lead on Alien: Isolation. “This is the game in its purest form; it’s you against the creature and it’s against the clock. It was just fantastic watching players leave the demo with a strange mix of joy, terror and relief at simply surviving, before jumping back in and try to tackle it in a different way to beat their time!”

Alien: Isolation will be available on October 7 on Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
