Serious Sam 4 Will Use Motion Capture, Have Massive Number Of Enemies On Screen

The game has been a long time coming.

A new interview of Serious Sam 4 developers Croteam in Reboot Magazine has shed some new light on the long awaited game. Damjan Mravunac talked about the graphics quality that is expected in this game and said the Serious Engine has been upgraded in order to bring something close to photo realistic quality. The developers are going to be using motion capture in order to make the game that much more realistic.

The development team also said that this new tech they are using for Serious Sam 4 will be able to mash even more monsters and other crazy enemies onto the screen. The team also mentioned that not only do they want this game to look plenty realistic, they also want it to be pretty, Mravunac said the team is trying to get away from the dark settings that were so prevalent in Serious Sam 3 and move towards something that will grab gamers’ attention because it’s so stunning.

While most of the focus was on how the upcoming game, which is set as a kind of prequel to Serious Sam 3, will look, the development team also talked a bit about what they are doing to fend off pirates. Croteam had some success protecting against pirates when it came to Serious Sam 3. The firm says it has something similar up its sleeve should people think they can get this game for free. While Serious Sam 4 was once expected to hit the market way back in 2014 it appears it’s actually getting close to actually launching these days.
