Eidos Montreal’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider received a brief new trailer which showcased the game’s explosive beginning. The developer then offered more details on some of Lara’s survival techniques, namely “Becoming one with the jungle”.
Along with shooting poison arrows and hoisting enemies up with rope arrows a la Batman, Lara can still execute stealth kills (and even multi stealth kills). One interesting mechanic is her ability to blend in with surroundings, adding an interesting guerrilla warfare twist to her tactics. You can also take less than subtle approaches like tossing explosive canisters to murder enemies.
Lara Croft is also capable of grappling and wall running. The game will feature the largest hub ever created in the series along with more tombs to conquer. Shadow of the Tomb Raider releases on September 14th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It’s currently available to pre-order now if you should so choose.
