Grasshopper Manufacturer’s Grasshopper Direct 2023 recently took place, and Shadows of the Damned Remastered was showcased. Though not too long, several classic enemies and sequences are revealed with revamped visuals. Check it out below.
The biggest new information is that the remaster will be coming to all “current” platforms “probably.” A release on Xbox One, PS4 and maybe even Nintendo Switch is possible. Whether it’s optimized for Xbox Series X/S and PS5 with 4K/60 FPS support remains to be seen. However, a PC release seems likely, which means PC players can finally embody the legendary demon hunter.
Shadows of the Damned Remastered doesn’t have a release date, but Grasshopper Manufacture will keep fans updated “as soon as we have more info to share.”
Helmed by Suda 51 and Shinji Mikami, the original game was released in 2011 for Xbox 360 and PS3. It sees Garcia, who ventures to the City of the Damned to save Paula, his girlfriend. The title combines third-person shooting, exploration and some side-scrolling sections with gonzo humor and aesthetics. Check out our review here.
