With Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance out next month for all platforms, Atlus has announced that the original Shin Megami Tensei 5 will be delisted from the Nintendo eShop on June 13th. It will be unavailable to purchase alongside all its DLC and the Digital Deluxe Edition.
While it didn’t explicitly outline a reason for the delisting, it could be to prevent confusion among new players about which version to buy, since Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance includes most of the same DLC. There is a lot more to experience, however, including the Canon of Vengeance story path, which introduces new antagonists, an enigmatic new playable character (Yoko Hiromine) and more for about 75 additional hours of gameplay.
Players can also look forward to 20 new battle tracks with roughly 80 percent of the original soundtrack redone, new Demons to collect (and hang out with), a new Nahobino form and new ways to explore Da’at. Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance launches on June 14th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.
