Silent Hill 2 Remake’s Soundtrack Preview is Now Live

Konami offers a near-97 minute preview of its soundtrack, featuring rearranged tracks and new songs from composer Akira Yamaoka.

Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake is only a week away, with reviews reportedly going live on October 4th. What better way to wait than listening to its soundtrack, composed by Akira Yamaoka? Konami has a preview of it available on YouTube, and while they’re not complete tracks, it’s almost 97 minutes of nostalgia.

While most will be familiar to long-time fans, Yamaoka has provided new arrangements for the classics (Theme of Laura is now “Theme of Laura 2”, for example) and even brand-new songs. Those in Japan can purchase the 3-CD set (with tracks selected by the composer) when it releases on November 20th.

As for everyone else, Silent Hill 2 launches on October 8th for PS5 and PC, with Digital Deluxe owners receiving two days of early access. The latter also includes the digital soundtrack alongside an artbook, Pyramid Head Mask, Mira the Dog Mask, and the base game. Head here for more details on what to expect from the remake or check out an hour of opening gameplay.
