Skate Showcases New Pre-Alpha Gameplay Footage in Insider Playtest Trailer

EA and Full Circle's skating sim will launch for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox as a free-to-play title.

Full Circle and EA’s Skate reboot has been in the works for a while, and there’s still no word on how long it’ll be before the game is out, but much like Motive Studio did with the Dead Space remake in the lead-up to its launch, Full Circle has been pretty consistent with sharing early development gameplay footage on the title over the months.

Recently, another new trailer was released, showcasing pre-alpha gameplay footage of Skate from its ongoing insider playtest. As has been the case before, this is early development footage, which means it’s far from the finished product, especially where the visual aspects are concerned, but it offers plenty of glimpses of how the game is shaping up, showcasing its ragdoll physics, some of the more technical skating mechanics it will feature, and more. Check it out below.

Skate is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Full Circle and EA have previously confirmed that the game will launch as free-to-play title with microtransactions, though it won’t have any paid loot boxes or pay-to-win mechanics.
