We Fappy Few developer Compulsion Games’ next title, South of Midnight, was unveiled by Microsoft earlier this year, and though it wasn’t given a release date or window at the time, it seems the action-adventure game might not be terribly far away from launch- or at least not as far away as some may have expected.
That is, if the LinkedIn profile of Brad Hilderbrand – who’s senior public relations manager at Microsoft – is anything to go by. On his profile, Hilderbrand has listed aa number of first party titles, both released and upcoming, that he has worked on PR for, including the likes of multiple Halo PC ports, Halo Infinite, Forza Motorsport, and South of Midnight. Curiously, the latter is also accompanied by mention of 2024 release window (spotted by @bogorad222 on Twitter). You can view a screenshot below.
If South of Midnight does indeed launch next year, that would make an already stacked year for Xbox first party releases even more packed, with the likes of Towerborne, Ara: History Untold, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Avowed, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 all officially confirmed to be releasing sometime in 2024.
South of Midnight is in development for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
