Ninja Theory debuted a new trailer for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Ninja Theory’s action-adventure follow-up to the 2017 classic, at The Game Awards. It sees Senua undergoing various trials and tribulations, from combat – which showcases an option to dual-wield a handaxe – to stealth and exploration. Check it out below.
The sequel is set in Viking Iceland, as Senua embarks on a journey to save those who have witnessed tyranny. Given her violent past against the Northmen, who caused the death of her loved ones, this is a natural journey for Senua. She’s still struggling with psychosis as the voices in her head push and pull in various directions. Nevertheless, Senua surges forward (with Melina Juergens providing a fantastic performance).
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is launching in 2024, with Matt Booty, Xbox head of content and studios, noting it’s coming after Ara: History Untold and Towerborne. It will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC while also launching on day one for Game Pass.
