The big boss at Microsoft Xbox, Phil Spencer has once again taken to his Twitter feed to answer fan questions regarding the Xbox brand. Spencer was asked whether the company has given any thought to implementing the Xbox One UI/OS on Windows 10 and may be as an alternate to the Windows 10 store. Spencer stated that he liked this idea as it will make things like buying games and apps much easier but that they would also need UI control of Windows 10 with controller including login. Given that Spencer’s reply seemed positive, there is a good chance that such a feature may launch in the future.
Moving on, another user asked him whether the Xbox 360 servers are shutting down anytime soon. Spencer stated that such rumors have no basis and the backwards compatibility feature on the Xbox One will ensure that their life will be instead extended. In short, they will run for years to come.
Given that Microsoft is planning to add host of new features to the Xbox One and Windows 10 in the coming months, it will be interesting to see whether the company’s gaming plan will be successful in the long run.

@headspawn @XboxQwik Yep, totally agree. Would also need to have UI control of Win10 with controller, including login.

@jeter900 360 back compat on XB1 adds more life to the 360 services as 360 games run on current HW, servers will be going strong for years.
