Splinter Cell: Blacklist New Trailer Emerges – Meet “The Engineers”

And their helicarrier (seriously).

If the game couldn’t get more overblown, then don’t worry. Dubbed the “biggest Splinter Cell yet”, Splinter Cell: Blacklist has received a new trailer which introduces a terrorist/hacker group called “The Engineers,” plus a helicarrier. Yes, as in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s helicarrier.

The trailer showcases some of the gameplay that defines the Splinter Cell experience – and it seems the Engineers are the architects of the Blacklist attacks which threaten to strike at the heart of the presidency. Because reasons.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist signals a new start for Sam Fisher as he now leads the Fourth Echelon group and works to hunt down renegade agents of the previous Third Echelon, which was disbanded in the previous game. Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be releasing on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U, and is developed by Ubisoft Toronto under the watchful eye of Jade Raymond.

Stay tuned for more as Ubisoft’s conference gets properly underway.
