Star Wars Eclipse Development is Reportedly “Going Better Than Some Would Have You Believe” – Rumor

Despite reports of issues, insider AccountNgt says the title will be the "next big game" that Quantic Dream will release.

When Star Wars Eclipse was announced at The Game Awards 2021, there was some curiosity over it (especially since developer Quantic Dream has faced number of serious allegations). However, reports would emerge of a troubling development process. Insider Tom Henderson reported that it had been in development for roughly 18 months with no playable version currently available.

Furthermore, the allegations reportedly made it harder for the studio to hire more developers. In a follow-up report, Henderson believed that the title could release by 2027 to 2028. According to another reputed insider AccountNgt (who first leaked images before the game’s announcement), development isn’t all that rough.

“Another report I got confirms again the existence of a Dark Sorcerer based game from Quantic Dream that I had reported a few months ago. Star Wars Eclipse would be the next big game that Quantic Dream would release tho. Apparently the development is going better than some would have you believe.” How much better is open to interpretation but they believe it will “probably” launch in 2025.

There are also rumors floating around about NetEase acquiring Quantic Dream. Henderson reported that the acquisition would likely be formally announced in the Summer. Stay tuned for further details in the meantime.
