ConcernedApe’s Stardew Valley finally has a release date for its massive 1.4 update. It’s out on November 26th for PC first and will arrive for consoles and mobiles few weeks after. Creator Eric Barone revealed in a new blog post that, “Once 1.4 has a little more testing on these platforms, I hope to give a solid release date for them.”
Barone also offered some more information on the update’s content. Along with serving as an overall polishing patch, there “pretty big variety of new things”. More end-game content has been added but almost every part of the game has been “has been expanded or improved upon in some way.” For the new post-marriage content, players can expect a “unique 14-heart event” for every spouse to incentivize maintaining the relationship.
Another new feature is Wild Bait, which will offer the chance to net double fish. While Barone didn’t explicitly lay out every single change and new piece of content, this looks to be a fairly hefty update for veteran players (and a good jumping on point for newbies). As always, stay tuned for more details when the update goes live.
