Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has quite the big update coming up for Stardew Valley. On Twitter, he revealed that update 1.4 would bring a new farm map called Four Corners that’s best suited to multiplayer. The update will hit PC first, with consoles and mobile devices getting it later.
One of the most interesting features is separate bank accounts for multiplayer. This means that you no longer has to worry about friends completely emptying out your in-game savings without your knowledge. Barone explained that an existing farm will see the money shared, but it can be separated and reconnected by going to the Mayor’s house.
Four Corners is also fairly divisive in terms of layout, allowing players to each tend to their own sections of the map better. It will still have a shared community centre, cave, and mines though. Though the map is best suited to multiplayer, it can also be accessed in single-player. Stay tuned for more details on the update in the coming weeks.
Hey everyone, just wanted to share this screenshot from the upcoming 1.4 update! It's a big one, & this image only reveals a fraction of what's coming. If you have an existing multiplayer farm, money will remain shared, but you can go to the Mayor's house to separate (or re-join) the money at any time. If you separate it, the current funds will be split evenly among the players. For new farms you can set the option at start

There is one shared cave, shared community center, mines, etc. You're still working together to achieve common goals, it's just a little more independent (which leads to some interesting gameplay)
