Starfield Dialogue Recording Might Be Underway

New job ad might be hinting at progress made in development.

Starfield might be game we’re not going to see or hear much about for a couple years yet – definitely not at E3 this year, alongside fellow upcoming Bethesda Game Studios RPG The Elder Scrolls 6 – but development on the game seems to be chugging along nicely.

As per a new job ad on the official website of ZeniMax (parent company of Bethesda), it seems like audio recording sessions for the upcoming sci-fi RPG might be underway. The ad is for the position of Voice Designer, and mentions that the applicant will be working with “multiple game teams” on “current and next generation AAA games”- which would imply that the person being hired would work on both, Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6.

The applicant will be responsible for creating “original voice audio content from original scripts”, then to create “studio-ready voiceover scripts”, “edit, process and implement final delivered voiceovers”, and “design audio post-processing effects for voiceovers”. Working with casting, directing, and recording studios, as well as working with localization teams, is also mentioned in the responsibilities.

Again, considering the fact that the game is not going to be something Bethesda speaks of in the near future, it’s safe to assume that even this work in particular probably isn’t too far along. Either way, at least progress is being made.

Starfield has been pegged as next gen release, but Bethesda haven’t completely ruled out the likelihood of the game launching on current gen consoles either.
