Street Fighter 6 Adds Wrestler Thea Trinidad to its Commentary Team

The professional wrestler and WWE star joins Street Fighter 6's real-time commentary roster, Capcom has announced.

Capcom has a big few months ahead with several major releases lined up, and Street Fighter 6 is, of course, one of the biggest of the lot. New details on the highly anticipated fighter have continued to emerge over recent weeks, and as Capcom continues to build up the hype in anticipation of its launch some months from now, it’s continuing that rollout of information

The Japanese publisher has now also announced that professional wrestler Thea Trinidad, also known as WWE star Zelina Vega, has joined Street Fighter 6’s roster of real-time in-game commentary. She becomes one of several prominent fighting game community commentators who will appear as in-game commentators to mimic the presentation of a live tournament.

“I’ve been an avid gamer since I was a child and a huge fan of Street Fighter,” Trinidad said. “I can still remember epic matches with my brother, and I would always beat him with my favorite character Vega. It’s surreal to now be a part of this amazing franchise and I am honored and thankful for this once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Plenty of new gameplay footage has also been recently revealed for Street Fighter 6 in recent videos showcasing developer matches between Mariso and Manon, Dee Jay and Dhalsim, and Blanka and JP.

Street Fighter 6 launches on June 2 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
