When Street Fighter 6 launches, it will feature a roster of 18 playable characters, but as you’d expect from any fighter in today’s day and age, it will obviously be adding plenty of names to that starting list over time after launch. At the recent Street Fighter Showcase, Capcom offered new details on what the first year of that post-launch support will look like.
As part of its Year 1 DLC plans, Street Fighter 6 will add four new characters to its roster between Autumn 2023 and Fall 2024, one of whom will be a new character. That will be A.K.I., who, incidentally, will also be the first DLC addition in Autumn of this year. She will be followed by Rashid this Summer, Ed this Winter, and Akuma in Fall 2024.
All four characters will also be incorporated in World Tour, which means players will be able to learn their special moves and increase their bonds with them in the single player campaign mode.
Speaking of which, Capcom also offered another look at World Tour – and showcased the new Avatar Battles – with a new trailer at the showcase- check it out through here.
Street Fighter 6 is out on June 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC. A demo is available now on PS5 and PS4, and launches for Xbox Series X/S and PC on April 26.
