Rabbit and Bear Studios, comprised of former Suikoden developers, announced Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes last year. A turn-based old-school JRPG that’s being positioned as spiritual successor to Konami’s beloved Suikoden games, it immediately caught the attention of the masses, surpassing high numbers in funding on Kickstarter.
Now, it’s been announced that the game will be published by 505 Games. In blog post, studio lead and game designer and scenario writer of the game Yoshitaka Murayama said that Rabbit and Bear Studios will “fully control the direction and atmosphere of the game, as well as its rights.”
“We have dreamed of developing a game for genre fans for many years which also celebrates everything we love and have learned as game designers,” Murayama said about the studio’s partnership with 505 Games. “Our team is looking forward to working with 505 Games to bring our first of hopefully many games, Eiyuden Chronicle, to fans around the world.”
“Given 505 Games’ success and history with titles like Bloodstained and Death Stranding and with the strong personal relationship we have developed with the people there, we feel we have the perfect partner,” he added.
