The story follows Conway, a driver traveling the roads of Kentucky to make one last delivery. He’s looking for the mysterious Route Zero and encounters all kinds of strange individuals, like Shannon Marquez, a TV repairwoman, and Ezra, who claims his brother Julian is a giant eagle (the eagle is real, by the way).

Together, they embark on a journey rife with magical realism and several strange occurrences. Kentucky Route Zero launched in January 2013 with Act 1 available on PC. Its fifth and final act finally arrived on January 28th, and it’s since been ported to iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more details when it launches next week for current-gen consoles.

FAR: Changing Tides is available for Xbox Game Pass for console and cloud as well as PC Game Pass starting today, while Microsoft Flight Simulator is available now via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Meanwhile, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 will come to Game Pass for console and PC on March 3.

Century: Age of Ashes is not mentioned, contrary to the leak, though Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get in-game perks in the multiplayer dragon battle title.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy turned out to be far better than most people had expected, and word of mouth for the game has been strong even months on from its launch. Square Enix, sadly, hasn’t been satisfied with the game’s commercial performance– though the action-adventure title might soon be opening the gates for a much larger player base to dive in and experience its offerings.

Dealabs user billbil-kun has become something of a prominent and reliable leaker in recent months, having accurately leaked the monthly lineup of free PlayStation Plus games on a number of occasions (including as recently as a few days ago for the month of March). Recently, they emerged again to spill the beans on something on the other side of the console spectrum.

According to the user, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be added to the Game Pass catalog in the month of March. Additionally, several other major names are going to be included in the batch of games to be added to the service in the first half of the month, including FAR: Changing Tides, Century: Age of Ashes (which will be launching for Xbox soon), Kentucky Route Zero, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13, and Young Souls.

Exactly which of this games will be coming to Xbox Game Pass for console and cloud and which will be coming to PC Game Pass hasn’t been specified. Microsoft will soon be making the official announcement for the upcoming batch of Game Pass games soon though, so we should know more soon enough. Stay tuned for those details.

Vanquish

Rocket sliding into cover and vaulting over in slow-mo to gun down foes never looked or felt as good as it did in Vanquish. But even at roughly six hours for the main campaign, it just simply ended following the battle with Bogey Alpha and Bravo. No final battle with Victor Zaitsev, who subsequently escapes and destroys Providence. Even US president Elizabeth Winters, who sought to destroy Moscow with Providence’s microwave transmitter, simply kills herself. At least Sam and Elena survived so that’s nice.

I Am Dead

I Am Dead is a game about, well, being dead. It’s actually about museum curator Morris Lupton who’s recently passed on. However, a volcano is set to erupt on the island of Shelmherston and it’s up to Morris, along with the ghost of his dog Sparky, to stop it. How do you ask? Why, by venturing across the island and discovering different ghosts, using X-ray vision to dissect the surroundings and ultimately piece together the island’s big mystery while making cheery observations throughout. Equal parts adventure, puzzle, exploration and humor, I Am Dead is a charming title with an unorthodox premise.

7 years is a long time no matter what way you slice it. Episodic gaming has had struggles since it become a trend with coming out on time, but even the most delayed titles didn’t go quite that long. But Kentucky Route Zero is by no means an ordinary game. After 7 years of waiting, the game’s final episode will finally release, along with a TV edition for current consoles.

The game follows a furniture delivery man who finds himself on a surreal adventure, meeting the likes of a haunted repairwoman, a pair of robot musicians, and a host of other odd characters. The old school point and click adventure game has been infamous for the massive delays it has suffered. The first episode released all the way back in January 7th, 2013. As you can see from the official Twitter below, the game will finally conclude, as well as come to consoles with the TV edition.

The TV edition of Kentucky Route Zero will release at the same time as the game’s final episode on PC on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch January 28th. It will include all five episodes, as well as all interlude episodes released in-between.

Layers of Fear

Though not the most innovative horror game by any means, Bloober Team’s Layers of Fear was significant. Following the studio’s failure with Basement Crawl, Layers of Fear presented a complete shift with its mature storyline and macabre atmosphere. As such, the game showcased Unity’s power in twisted settings with excellent fidelity, creating disturbing sights at a decent clip.
