Microsoft has unveiled its next round of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC, console and the cloud. On February 18th, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition, which includes the base game and all of its DLC, will be available on console and the cloud. Code Vein for PC and Wreckfest for all three platforms goes live on the same day.

Arcade classic Killer Queen Black becomes available for consoles and the cloud on February 23rd. Codemasters’ DiRT 5 will follow on all three platforms on February 25th alongside massive space exploration title Elite Dangerous for consoles. Superhot: Mind Control Delete goes live on February 25th for PC subscribers.

Xbox Game Pass has added titles like Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age, The Falconeer, Project Winter and Wolfenstein: Youngblood thus far in February. It should be interesting to see if any other titles will close out the remaining few days of month. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

Previously exclusive to PS4, all four titles are finally coming to Xbox platforms and PC.

Microsoft had a fairly decent presence at The Game Awards this year with The Initiative revealing its reboot of Perfect Dark at last. It also showcased a new trailer for Xbox Game Pass with current and upcoming titles. Sure, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim – Special Edition coming to the service is great but more importantly, The Yakuza Remastered Collection and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life have also been confirmed.

This means that remasters of Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 along with Yakuza 6 will be playable on Xbox platforms and PC for the first time. But that’s not all – they’ll also be available on Steam as per an official tweet. The Yakuza Remastered Collection arrives on January 28th 2021 for the platform (with each game also being sold separately) while Yakuza 6: The Song of Life arrives on March 25th 2021.

Other upcoming titles for Game Pass include Neoverse, Killer Queen Black (for console), Cyber Shadow and Among Us (for PC). The Medium is also out on January 28th 2021 for Xbox Series X/S and PC players. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

Microsoft shows a bunch of indie games Game Pass subscribers can look to enjoying on launch day.

Microsoft today held an ID@Xbox Game Pass stream, which it used to highlight indie games that will be launching day and date on Game Pass. While Microsoft’s own games launch on Game Pass simultaneously with their retail release, they have also been making outreach efforts to get other developers to join in in doing so as well—especially indie games.

The fruit of those efforts was shown off today, with some cool upcoming indie titles primed for a day one release on Game Pass as and when they come out. These games include Killer Queen Black (which will include 8-player multiplayer), Outer Wilds (2019), Void Bastards, Operencia: The Stolen Sun (which we already knew about), Supermarket Shriek, The Good Life, Afterparty, and Blazing Chrome.

You can check out the video, which was modeled on Nintendo’s Nindies Showcase videos, for yourself below. Microsoft also announced that each of these games will be showcased at PAX East, so if you are attending that event, you can go and check them out for yourself ahead of their release.

You have to guess cross-platform play is why the game is skipping PS4.

Killer Queen Black was originally announced for PC and Nintendo Switch last year as a modernization of the classic arcade game. The game’s release got delayed, but it looks like said delay may end up being worth it when all is said and done.

Today, Liquid Bit and BumbleBear have announced that Killer Queen Black will be coming to Xbox One, in addition to PC and Nintendo Switch. The Switch and PC versions of the game are still due in Q3 2019, while the Xbox One version will launch in Q4 of this year. But the gain? All versions will have full cross-platform play across all systems.

Presumably, this is the reason the game is skipping PS4 for now, since Sony is famously still blocking cross-platform play for smaller games and developers—presumably, if that were to change, we would see games like this one, and Wargroove, launch on the system, and launch on time.
