March saw the ever-growing Xbox Game Pass library getting bolstered thanks to some excellent new additions– April, however, is even more exciting. Microsoft recently teased six new Game Pass announcements. Those six games have now been confirmed, and I must say, it’s a very impressive lineup of games.

The ongoing Life is Strange 2’s second episode will be aded to the service, just as the first episode was. It will be made available on April 24. Before that, however, April 11 (which is tomorrow) will see the month’s stream of games get rolling, with Arkane Studios’ incredibly Prey, and HB Studios’ golf sim, The Golf Club 2, both being added to the Game Pass catalog.

April 18 will see even more big games going live on the service. Capcom’s incredible Monster Hunter World will be made free to Game Pass subscribers, as will the third season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead series, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier – which is definitely the weakest of the four seasons, but still worth playing if you’re a fan.

On April 25, Resident Evil 5 will make its way to the Game Pass catalog- not the classic Resident Evil game we might all be thirsting for lately, but a great action title in its own right, especially if you play the entire campaign co-op with a buddy.

It’s a great lineup all in all, and at least a couple of those games will appeal to you regardless of your preferences. Here’s hoping Microsoft keeps this solid run going next month as well.

Dontnod Entertainment recently dropped the launch trailer for Episode 2 of Life is Strange 2. It sees the brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz still on the run, while doing their best to remain inconspicuous. You can watch it here, though keep in mind that there are quite the number of spoilers for Episode 1.

Episode 2 is out on January 24th, but Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also get it on the same day, as per the official Xbox Twitter. The service currently holds the full seasons for Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm, along with Life is Strange 2: Episode 1. For those who have yet to get into the franchise, this presents a very compelling offer, since Xbox Game Pass is only $9.99 per month.

Of course, the second episode of Season 2 will also be available for PS4 and PC players tomorrow. The entire season has five episodes in total, so if you’re holding off until it’s complete, you’ll have to wait. Stay tuned for more details on subsequent episode releases in the meantime.

With Life is Strange 2’s second episode due out later this week—at last!—Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment have pushed out a launch trailer for the game. Though I feel as though “launch trailer” is a bit of a misnomer here, because this one recaps what happened in the first episode more than anything else.

While that’s good for those of you who need a primer on the events of that episode before jumping into the new one—a reminder that the first episode came out last September, which means it has now been four months since—if you have yet to actually play that, I would advise you to not watch this, since some, or a lot, of it may get spoiled.

As has been previously reported, this upcoming episode will also tie into the excellent The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, the free to play episode that Dontnod launched last Summer ahead of Life is Strange 2’s release. Maybe play that as well as Life is Strange 2’s first episode before jumping into this. Both, as well as the upcoming episode, are on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

It’s been a very long time coming, but we finally know, as Dontnod promised earlier this month, when we can expect the next episode of Life is Strange 2 exactly. And that date is January 24, 2019. Yeah, so there’s still over a month left (and four months separating the launch of the first episode from the launch of the second one).

The new episode will continue the story where the first one left off, obviously, and see Daniel fall prey to a mysterious illness, and a very interesting tie in with the excellent The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, which launched earlier this year

To commemorate the announcement of the release date of the second episode, Dontnod also released a brand new live action trailer for Life is Strange 2. As mentioned, most of this is live action, but we do get some gameplay footage towards the end in it—so maybe sit through all of it (or just skip to the end, if you’re the impatient type).
